Durham Wildlife Trust It's been a couple of years since we designed these brass 'Meadow Cranesbill' plaques for Durham Wildlife Trust and it was kind of them to send these images.

Celebration Plaques are a wonderful way to remember and celebrate the life of a loved one. Alternatively they could commemorate a special family event like the arrival of a new baby, a big birthday or wedding anniversary.

The plaques cost £150 and all the money raised from the purchase of the plaques will go to support work to conserve wildlife from Tees to Tyne. If you would like to find out more please contact Anne at Durham Wildlife Trust on 0191 518 3112 or by email

Tenovus Cancer Care New Mobile Support Unit's Official Launch The third in a line of Tenovus Cancer Care support units, was officially launched in October 2018 by the charity's patron HRH The Princess Royal.
All three of the support vehicles were on display for the day at Roald Dahl Plas in Cardiff Bay. The public had the opportunity to go aboard these superbly equipped units and see just what valuable support they offer to cancer patients and their relatives.
Metallic Garden are proud to have collaborated with Tenovus Cancer Care to design and produce their Dedication Tree, installed inside the new unit.

Tenovus Cancer Care In March 2016 we received a phone call from a friendly member of the Tenovus Cancer Care Team. They were embarking on a project to fit out a brand-new mobile support unit and were looking for someone to design a donor recognition tree, to be installed within it. Little did we know what a long and fulfilling journey we were about to take with them.

Initial designs were submitted, along the lines of what we already produced, albeit in totally different materials and cheerful colours to match the Tenovus Cancer Care brand. The idea would be a tree made from Acrylic, or something similar, to be fastened flat against the inside wall of the unit. To this tree would be fastened individual plaques in the shape of leaves, acorns and boulders. Nothing beyond the capability of  Metallic Garden.

Although the concept of a donor recognition tree was still very much the focus, the function of the tree was now changed to include that of a dividing screen, able to be moved and s…
The Butterfly Hospice Memory Tree We recently had the privilege of meeting Sue Watsham and Steve Doughty from The Butterfly Hospice. They came to view our Love tree, with the intention of installing it in their Hospice in Boston. Happily they were able to place an order and purchase the tree with funds kindly donated by Marks & Spencer of Spalding. It is now proudly on display as their 'Memory Tree'.

The Unveiling & Dedication Event The Dedication Event was a great success. Many volunteers attended and also representatives from M&S who chose The Butterfly Hospice as Charity of the year for 2017/18.
‘ Our beautiful Memory Tree which was made by Metallic Garden had proved to be a very popular addition to our hospice. It has pride of place in our reception area and we have received so many positive comments from visitors, families and our volunteers. The design and quality of the tree is exceptional and the customer service from Metallic Garden is exceptional. Than…
